Wow
Just used some new web 2.0 technology to hold a live online chat… the great thing about this new technology is that I can can moderate the chat and add polls, videos and pictures.
It is great for teacher student situations and will allow the quiet ones a chance to comment and be involved.
Holiday… who said!!!
Here I am at 9.30pm on a lovely February evening… marking.
I guess its my own fault, I should be marking as a I go along and feed back to the students on how they are doing. I did that verbally which means that I have to mark the paper versions at the end… This is Year 13 ICT work… creating a website.
The nice thing about doing all this is that the work is very good and I am very impressed. They are a great bunch and I have a good time teaching them.
I should be finished tomorrow and then I can get on with my Year 12′s… lucky me
Half Term is great… but I miss it…
Being a teacher at the TDA is difficult… the pressure is great, but the fun is great also. I love being on holiday, I love being t home with my family, but I miss the TDA, I miss the way it works.
This week my Year 12′s work will be marked, my Year 13′ s work will be marked… and that will do for me. I love teaching 6th form, but the marking is huge, but hey it could be worse.
Anyway it will soon be Monday and I will be teaching from 8.45 – 5.30pm… fun ,fun ,fun!!!
